E-Bike Guide for Bali - Everything You Need to Know
Electric bikes are the perfect way to explore Bali without the sweat. Here is everything you need to know about renting an e-bike.
E-bikes are revolutionizing how visitors explore Bali. With pedal-assist technology, you can ride further, climb hills without effort, and arrive at your destination without being drenched in sweat.
Range: Our e-bikes offer approximately 50km on a single charge, depending on terrain and assist level. This is more than enough for a full day of exploring Canggu and surrounding areas.
Charging: A home charger is included with every e-bike rental. A full charge takes about 4-5 hours. Most riders charge overnight and start each day with a full battery.
Best Routes for E-Bikes: The ride from Canggu to Tanah Lot temple (12km each way) is perfect for e-bikes. The hilly terrain near Ubud is also ideal - hills that would exhaust you on a regular bike become effortless.
No License Required: Unlike scooters, e-bikes do not require any driving license in Bali. Anyone can ride one, making them perfect for visitors who cannot or do not want to ride a motorbike.
Tips: Start on the lowest assist level and increase as needed. Keep the battery above 20% for optimal performance. Lock the bike when parked - we provide a lock with every rental.
Cost: E-bikes rent for Rp 200.000/day or Rp 1.000.000/week. While more expensive than regular bikes, the ability to ride further and tackle hills makes them excellent value.
